Guide to Install Oracle 11g Release 2 for Development on Windows 7 64 bit

Preparation

Required Specifications

• Physical Memory 1 GB (minimum)
• Virtual Memory double the amount of RAM
• Disk space total 4.76 GB
• Processor 550 Mhz (minimum)
• Video Adapter 256 colors

Focus for Development Oracle Forms and Reports with TOAD 11.6 for Environment Development

The Required Software is Sorted According to the Installation Stage

1. Java 7 32 bit
2. Oracle 11g Release 2 64 bit
3. Java 7 64 bit
4. Weblogic 10.3.6
5. Forms and Report 11.1.2.2.0 64 bit
6. Connect Oracle Form to Database
7. Configure Forms before use
8. Toad 11.6 64 bit
9. Install Apex 5.1.4 en

IMPORTANT – Don’t use space or special characters in the Source Folder Name

Look at this Sorce Folder Path

C:\Source\OracleInstaller

Change Your PC Name

(Optional) We need to change PC name for readable path when Install Oracle, change name what you like.

Open System Properties then Choose Computer Name tab and click Change button to change PC Name

Change PC Name, I rename with my name Rian, then Click OK

Restart your computer for take effect change PC name

Make Sure Have at least 512 MB of Virtual Memory

How to check Virtual Memory

Open System Properties then Choose Advanced tab, in Region Performance click Settings

Will appear window Performance Options, choose Advanced tab then see amount of Virtual Memory, if still less than 512 MB just click Change to change it
